The rock art sites, spread over a 40-km-stretch, were discovered by the late eminent archaeologist Prof. Comparative analysis of materials used in these rock arts shows they are 10,000 years old," he added. The cave paintings have thrown light on the social lives of local inhabitants in continuous cultural sequence since the Mesolithic age (9,000 BCE).Floral designs and various worship symbols, such as the Sun, and circles found in them are believed to belong to the 14th or 15th century. Similarly, late period drawings seen in these caves include war scenes, archery and so on.

Cavemen of the period used hematite and weathered stones to paint in red and green colours respectively.."The art, found both in still and in motion, are a symphony on stones created by the cavemen," he added.Besides, the rock arts have thrown light on environmental and demographic situations of the contemporary periods in the stretch. Some animal species, particularly two-horned rhinos, shown in the rock paintings indicate that the region was once home to these animals, which have since disappeared from the area.Locals, majority of whom are tribals, believe that the sites are haunted by vampires, who leave blood marks on the stones by sinking their teeth on the rocks.Bhopal: Haunted by myths and overshadowed by the famed Bhimbetka rock art site, known all over the world for its Paleolithic paintings, a few "prehistoric" cave drawings found in the Bhopal division have been suffering in obscurity. A team of archaeologists from Spain, led by Pere Ferrar, president of the museum of Constanta, visited the rock-shelters a couple of few weeks ago to document the cave art."Red and green coloured drawings are of the prehistoric era."The four rock-shelters should be declared an extension of Bhimbetka world heritage site to ensure their protection, preservation and scientific documentation," ASI Bhopal superintendent Zulfiqar Ali told this newspaper. These sites, however, reel in anonymity and are crying for attention from government preservation agencies such as the Archaeological Survey of India."

A scientific exploration and excavation will unfold the history buried in these caves," Dr Vyas said.Kathotia, considered the richest among the four rock art sites, is home to around China acrylic for polymer coating Factory 65 rock-shelters from the Mesolithic or middle stone age (9,000 BCE — 5,500 BCE).The sites found in the villages of Jhiri, Jaora, Daulatpur and Khatoria, located within a distance of around 40 km from Bhimbetka in Bhopal division, are rich in rock art heritage illustrating continuous cultural sequence from prehistoric period to 15th century. The subjects of the paintings spotted in the rock-shelters are common, but the styles are different, which meant that they were drawn in different periods, he added.

The rock-shelters are known in the region as "Chudail ki Dant" or vampires’ teeth. The "prehistoric" paintings found in the rock-shelters include animal and human figurines, haunting scenes and group dances. The paintings, believed to be from the prehistoric period, vividly depict the social life of cavemen."The oldest painting in the rock-shelters is at least 10,000 years old," retired superintendent of ASI, Bhopal, Dr Narayan Vyas, told this newspaper here on Tuesday. Dr Vyas accompanied the team.Four rock art sites, found in the Bhopal division of the Vindhyachal region, inspire awe among archaeologists and historians.

"I call it fine art photography." He will be shooting Chandani Chowk next. It has many faces. So in each of my exhibitions I used to bring out one aspect of Delhi. It’s the heart-throb of India but it doesn’t have a distinct culture of its own or a single identity. It is basically everybody bringing in their own cultures and thus, Delhi’s culture evolved as a melting pot. They let me go inside without a ticket because there was no one to give tickets at that time.Ahmed FirozAbout aiming to capture the uniqueness of Delhi, he explains, "Delhi is a big city. Being in a job definitely has its constraints in terms of time, but it has also kept Firoz free, artistically. I have not only captured Delhiites taking breaks from work, but also tourists coming here to get their quota of recreation."Delhi has a different charm when it is engulfed in fog."One of his earlier exhibitions called, ‘Monumental’ focused on the monuments of Delhi. There is an element of mystery and surprise to it," he says. But decorative paint emulsion Factory this fog remains roughly for a month. There are different life values, religions, identities and legacies here. It has a glorious past and it is very alluring.

Then it is also a city of monuments. He explains, "Fashion and food photography bring in money but then, streets become a distant space. Then, another two titled ‘Tangerine Tales’ and ‘Stage Alive’ focused on the different dance forms and the cultural hub that Delhi is. But I try to bring out the magic that Delhi holds," he explains. In addition to that, a different show focused on people taking breaks from the hustle-bustle of the city. This time the exhibition happens to be a mixture of all these elements. A lot of scintillating cultural performances takes place here."Delhi happens to be my home now. What makes Delhi the way it is? It is very difficult to point out what constitutes a city and if the city is as complex as Delhi is, with mythology, history, culture, and politics entwined, where does one start and how does one maintain focus? However, economist Ahmed Firoz, who moonlights as a photographer, has attempted to capture the complexities of the city in captivating frames in his latest exhibition titled ‘Enigma: Street stories of Delhi’ going on at the India Habitat Centre. We generally tend to take more photographs when we are away from our hometown. For shooting Delhi engulfed in fog, he had very few days as he is a government employee, and can only shoot on weekends and holidays. During weekends in winter, I used to wake up at five and see if there is fog."Ahmed FirozComparing different parts of Delhi, he adds, "For me, the world of Chandni Chowk is as amazing as the world of Connaught Place or some busy mall in Delhi.."

Firoz used to paint earlier and that has also affected his photography. Although a small part of his ongoing photography exhibition revolves around Delhi, he has still managed to bring out the beauty of the city. And it is not common for people to shoot their homes. I remember once I jumped out of the bed and drove to Qutab Minar. The fog was so dense, that during first few shots I could not see the monument. From a street play to one act, it has a space for everything. Though people are quite busy here, it is also a place, which can soothe your frayed nerves.

If it makes me laugh, cry, moves me and makes me wonder what’s going to happen next, I say yes to it. I am a creative person and when I paint, all my thoughts just flow onto the canvas. I won’t get lost in stardom, get carried away by it or get pressurised. Once they start accepting it as a film, without considering it as women-centric or female-oriented, the change will come in. But China flame retardant Suppliers she calls her sense of style very laid back.. For me, it’s been a wonderful experience portraying these strong characters," says Sonakshi adding, "I am very instinctive while choosing roles.

For me, simplicity is important. If I feel like if I have to think about it before coming to a decision, I know that I won’t be taking it up. So, I am in a very good space, professionally."And for those who are waiting for more from Sonakshi after her hit single, Ishqoholic, the actress would want to continue singing and will be releasing her next single this year. Do you call a movie with stars as a male-centric film The change is happening gradually," she adds.. It is really soothing — something that transports me to another world. But six months back, I bought a lot of paints, canvases and just went for it. If I ever need them, I know that I can pick up my phone and call them and they will be there."Movies with female protagonists like Piku, Queen and Pink manage to impress the audience, but they don’t grab the eyeballs or get an opening like a movie with Salman Khan or Shah Rukh Khan would. With a myriad of versatile roles coming to her, Sonakshi Sinha feels that B’wood is witnessing a big change With her choice of progressive roles — be it in the recent A******a, a RAW agent in Force 2 or the journalist she plays in Noor, Sonakshi Sinha has been impressing audiences and critics alike and she feels it is a great time to be a woman in the industry. So the only time I get to really dress up is for movies, events and shows like these. "I used to sketch since I was really young.Amidst all the chaos, Sonakshi says that she doesn’t let the profession get to her. I have to connect with it right from the narration. However, my closest friends are the people I have grown up with — my friends from school and college. "I would rather not be anything else because I really love my job and I know how to balance it.

It is something new for the audience too."Apart from acting and singing, Sonakshi loves to dance. I exactly enjoy what I am doing."In the city to walk the ramp for Rohit Gandhi and Rahul Khanna, Sonakshi looked lovely."Does she have friends from Bollywood, as the common misconception goes ‘nobody can be friends in tinseltown’. Honestly, I can't think of anyone who I have not gotten along with. Of course, the entire package (including cast and crew) matters too.

There are so many roles that went to three to four actresses before I took it up. "In the industry, I have a great equation with everybody I have worked with so far. I always believe that whatever is written for you will come to you." After doing a series of different roles, is there one dream role that she wishes to portray "Right now, I am doing everything I ever wanted to do. "I think it is a beginning. "I have a very simple and laidback sense of style.. Earlier, such movies weren’t even made. I would call it a movement. When I feel like I need some time off, I take it and I travel, chill at home, meet my friends and create that balance in life. But her stress-buster is painting. "A lot of wonderful roles are being made keeping a female protagonist in mind and the entire film is driven by them.
